Ms. Doherty is a member of the New York State Dispute Resolution Association and Mid-Hudson Women's Network. Ms. Doherty has published articles on the subject of mediation and speaks to groups and media on the subject of conflict resolution. In addition, Ms. Doherty serves as a Recreation Commissioner and ballet theatre board member, as well as mediation consultant member and conflict trainer for a collaborative divorce attorney/mental health/financial advisor professional group.
Ms. Doherty has introduced mediation and conflict skills to individuals and groups of all ages and professions. She has been trained in and is experienced with varied mediating methods specific to the different types of conflicts and relationships that might benefit from the process and advocates for high standards for mediators.
Mid-Valley is partnered with the remarkable not-for-profit Max's Kansas City Project in its Damage Control program aimed at teen substance abuse prevention.
Mid-Valley Private Mediation Center provides mediation services and training for Ulster and Dutchess County, and will travel throughout New York State, New Jersey and neighboring states with certain programs and services.
