Mid-Valley provides workshops and training programs for youth of different learning styles and needs. Participants are respected as individuals with unique learning and conflict styles, and are taught through flexible and progressive workshops and programs. Importantly, we invite all youth to become mediators and, eventually, to become mentors. Mid-Valley believes we should be challenging our youth, and giving those who have been labelled as problem kids a chance to be called the peacemakers instead.
Mid-Valley also provides workshops for sport team players, their parents and coaches. We are available to teach conflict, listening, and communication skills - as well as to create a Team of Mediators made up of youth players and adults to deal with difficult issues as they come up.

Mid-Valley's unique and imortant series, SOLID GROUND : YOUTH OF DIVORCE, is designed to enhance communication, conflict and mediation skills with those youth who may need additional help during and after a marital break-up. The curriculum is co-authored by our social worker, who additionally collaborates in the application process. There are many different expert opinions on how divorce impacts the children. School administrators and staff spend a great deal of time engaged in professional enhancement workshops. Basic conflict and mediation techniques are very beneficial to school faculty and staff. We talk about how we make decisions, what are the differences we have little control over, how can we make changes in how we see and deal with conflict, how do we better communication and create a productive and respectful atmosphere in the school? We teach the elements of good communication, and take a critical look at what works - and what doesn't work. We will teach education majors because we believe these are outstanding skills to bring to a prospective employer.

Mid-Valley PMC is able to help elder and direct care workers to communicate more effectively with patients and patients’ families. We offer in-service mediation technique workshops to assist staff working many hours under very difficult circumstances.
